Work at McDonald, the Authentic Fast Food Worker Experience

Contrary to what people told me when I was younger, I never did end up flipping burgers at McDonalds. I have missed out on some valuable life experience.

Fortunately developer developer at 127 has come along to provide us with a way of working at McDonalds from the comfort of our own homes with 'Work at McDonald'.

We of course all know that the singular of 'McDonalds' is 'McDonald', which is why this game is not called 'Work at McDonalds'.

You can tell this game is going to be good because even the main menu shows an exciting array of options, such as 'wallper', 'Gamepass' and 'Burger King'.

wallper

You start the game with a ludicrous amount of money and a severely negative customer happiness, just like my local McDonald.

This game is very challenging, as the first customer is always invisible for some reason. This means you can't see their order and must blindly try to guess until you hit on the correct item.

After you've served the invisible man, regular customers begin turning up and say things like 'Can I have a McDrink'. You must click on the correct item, to which they respond 'good job'. But beware, for if you serve the incorrect item the customer will proclaim 'It Karen time who is your manager'.

It Karen time

I enjoy the Burger King DLC of this game. It's exactly the same game but in Burger King instead of McDonalds, and there is the letter B everywhere. If you get an order incorrect in Burger King the customer will say 'wrong' and leave, accurately reflecting the contrasting clientelle of both McDonalds and Burger King.

There's also a Drive Thru DLC, which is exactly the same as McDonalds in every way.

The challenge of this game is mostly in deciphering what the poorly drawn food items actually are, but there are also some deep puzzles, such as trying to work out what the 'wallper' option of the main menu is actually for.

In conclusion, I have reached a new low making fun of a Scratch game that was probably made by a child. Here's hoping developer at 127 will eventually make it onto gamepass for real. Godspeed.

Play Work at McDonald on Itch IO.
